NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY SHOW
The Newark & Nottinghamshire County Show is a true celebration of our county’s agricultural industries, with livestock and equine competitions and displays. Originally started in 1799 by the Newark Agricultural Society our show is one of the oldest in the country. Today we are a registered charity and known as the Newark & Nottinghamshire Agricultural Society.
Traditionally, the County Show gave farmers the opportunity to get together with the local community to show their pride and joy in their livestock. This still happens today, with competitions held for the best in each class.
The Grand Parade in the Main Ring on the last day of the County Show will showcase and celebrate all of the superb championship winners; it’s a wonderful spectacle for everyone to admire and should not be missed!
