Careers Events and Support

Our charity’s objective is to raise awareness of the many diverse and exciting career opportunities within farming and other related industries such as horticulture, artisan food production, environmental, etc. and also provide assistance to young people though our Society’s Award and Grant schemes, wherever possible.

We provide support by:

  • Attending careers events in local schools and colleges, and in partnership with government organisations and local businesses.
  • Delivering free educational talks and presentations to schools, local clubs and societies.
  • Facilitating work experience placements and farm visits for young people, ex-service men and women, and the unemployed.
  • Assisting financially, as much as we are able, with initiatives such as our Educational and Development Awards and Agricultural Traineeship and Apprenticeship Grants

If you believe farming is boring you need to think again! Take a minute to look at all the exciting robots and machines used in the farming industry today…

Visit our Farming Careers pages for examples of the many varied career options and further information of how you can become part of this exciting and forward thinking industry. You do NOT have to come from a farming family or background. Opportunties are open to everyone.
